Nosy Boraha, or Sainte-Marie Island, is an island off the east coast of Madagascar. Near the main town of Ambodifotatra, the pirate cemetery has tombs marked with a skull and crossbones. Off the south coast, the tiny Île aux Nattes and Îlot aux Sables are bordered by coral reefs and populated by sea turtles. The Antanandava waterfall is surrounded by a tropical forest. On the east coast, traditional canoes sail on the lagoon of Ampanihy bay.
